3D OR NOT 3D THAT IS THE QUESTION ?

Close on 50% of the so called 3D live action films eg Clash Of Titans/Green Hornet /Piranha where not made in 3D but digitally converted - they are not in true 3D which has depth -they just have separation of close and far images by layers of distance.

Almost nothing magazine wise such as 3D issues lads mags Nuts and Zoo are in genuine 3D if so the punter could reach out and touch the Babes breasts-instead she has to by photographed holding an object ie Dildo to get distance not depth effect.. About the only genuine 3D pictures where in Paris Match over a decade ago which being printed photogavuare was able to have genuine dual image precise registration.

Neither of Marvels recently made Thor or Captain America where filmed with 3D cameras - should it not be a advertising standards requirement for the posters ect to say that its a "conversion" to 3D from 2D imagining?



Its perfectly possible to seamlessly incorporate CGI characters with live action in real 3D as was done a decade back with T-Rex Back to the Cretaceous . Its just that the budget for most movies is creative accounting -with vast amounts skimmed off for the lifestyles of the executives .
