In 2007 a book Fantasy Island said that the UK with the exception of aerospace and pharmaceuticals was neglecting its manufacturing base being made up of non producing high paid jobs eg Barristers, management consultants, NHS and local government executives, PR men and so on. It said the nation was living a fantasy of itself and its new leader of the Conservatives was just another Blair.What has changed -anything that matters. Cameron pretended he was going to bring immigration under control and at least modify the so called Human Rights Act -seems as with Blair it was all deception. Another smart PR confidence trickster impersonating a previous one.
